The Redarc BCDC1220-IGN is a 12-volt 20-amp DC-to-DC battery charger specifically designed for full charging of an auxiliary battery. It is ideal for vehicles equipped with an ECU-controlled variable voltage alternator. The BCDC1220-IGN model features a low-voltage function, allowing it to continue operating even with a lower input voltage from the alternator. The BCDC dual battery charger operates within a wide voltage range (9–32 V), enabling charging for both 12V and 24V vehicle systems. Additionally, it provides a unique charging profile for each battery type, ensuring optimal charging of auxiliary batteries on the go. This allows for charging a secondary battery that may differ from the starting battery. The device functions as a dual battery isolator, protecting the starting battery from excessively low voltage.
