The Orico 6818US3 is a practical USB 3.0 hard drive dock that allows you to conveniently connect 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA interface hard drives and SSDs to a computer without having to install the drive in a separate enclosure.
The dock supports SATA I, SATA II, and SATA III interfaces, and data transfer speeds via USB 3.0 can reach up to 5 Gbit/s. The device is also backwards compatible with the USB 2.0 standard, but for the best performance, it is recommended to use a USB 3.0 connection.
The power required for 3.5-inch drives is provided by the included external AC power adapter, which supplies up to 2.5 A of current. The set also includes a 1-meter-long USB 3.0 data cable.
