Now many vehicles out there have multiple batteries. One dedicated for starting the engine and the other dedicated for power and accessories. Without a battery isolator, a battery with a lower charge will draw power from a battery with a higher charge until the battery is equalized, which could lead to dead batteries. The Noco isolator prevents that from happening and so each battery acts as an independent power source. It is suitable for using with wet, gel, MF, EFB and AGM batteries; cars, boats, trucks, offroad vehicles etc. This is designed for using with alternators with amperage ratings below 90 amps.
